Vocational Education and Training (VET) fees apply to courses at certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate and graduate diploma qualification levels.
Government-subsidised fees
Government-subsidised fees include varying levels of government subsidy and are available to you if you meet all eligibility criteria [page id 1117]. Subsidised training services are provided to eligible individuals with funds made available by the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments.

Concession fees
Concession fee rates are usually 20 per cent of the government-subsidised fee. They may be available to you if you hold a current healthcare or pension card - or are the dependent of a card holder - and meet all eligibility criteria.
Full course fees
The full fee will be applicable if you do not meet the eligibility criteria OR are an international student. A full fee is also applicable if a course is non-accredited - i.e., doesn't include nationally recognised units.
VET pre-paid fee protection
Under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 Schedule 6, requirements for protecting fees prepaid by individual learners, or prospective learners, for services, Holmesglen Institute, as a Government Entity, has implemented a policy addressing learner fee protection arrangements.
This policy details how, if Holmesglen Institute is unable to provide services for which the learner has prepaid, the learner will:
- Be placed into an equivalent course such that:
- the new location is suitable to the learner; and
- the learner receives the full services for which they have prepaid at no additional cost to the learner; or
- Be paid a refund of any prepaid fees for services yet to be delivered above the threshold payment amount, that is prepaid fees for services more than a total of $1500.
